Virtual Private Servers

Does your customer seek greater control and performance than shared hosting can offer? Or a low cost upgrade path to a dedicated server? Virtual private servers (VPS) deliver performance, security and flexibility in equal measure at a fraction of the cost of a dedicated server.

What’s a VPS?

It’s a single server split into multiple "virtual servers" using highly sophisticated, kernel-based partitioning software. Each "virtual server" has its own operating system with root access and a 100% guaranteed equal share of resources (processor, disk and RAM). One VPS cannot physically be affected by another VPS using the same hardware, so a virtual server behaves exactly like an isolated stand-alone dedicated server.

A VPS should be seen as a dedicated solution. But because the costs of hardware, network connectivity and systems maintenance are distributed among those sharing the hardware, it represents an advanced, yet affordable choice — even for shared hosting customers.
