Hostway’s full suite of enhanced products helps service providers pursue one of two key marketing strategies, if not both. Those strategies are:

1 Provide a robust upgrade path. For the service provider, it’s additional revenue and greater stickiness. For their customer, it’s services that will help accelerate that customer’s productivity and profitability.

2 Offer customers a "Plan B," or an alternate marketing path to Web services adoption. What if your customer doesn’t want a Web site? What if they already have a host and are reluctant to move? Offer them value-added, in-demand services that don’t require that they host their site with you. It gets you in the door. Once your products and services' excellence establishes trust equity, you’ll have some traction for going after their hosting business as well. We believe that though there is still room for selling shrink-wrap software to the client-server environment, more and more computing power, not just content, will migrate to the Internet and take advantage of the ubiquitous broadband that will be available to everyone.
