Lucas Roh / CEO and President

From Hostway's very beginning, Lucas Roh has been the driving force in the company's dedication to reliability and easy-to-use services through an ongoing commitment to emerging technology. Since starting the company in 1998, Roh has charted Hostway's growth to achieve an international presence, rank as one of the top-five Web hosting companies globally and remain profitable every quarter since its founding. Recognizing this success, the Chicago Business Hall of Fame named Roh Chicago's Young Business Leader of the Year in 2004.

Previously, Roh was a computer scientist at Argonne National Laboratory, conducting pioneering research in the emerging field of computer technologies integrated into mathematics. For six years, Roh worked in software and hardware engineering for several companies, including Tektronics and Hewlett-Packard. In the late 1980s, he founded Wavetech Corp, a software company. He has taught at Colorado State University and has authored more than 20 academic papers.

Roh received a Ph.D. in computer science from Colorado State University in 1995 and an undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Chicago in 1988.

John Lee / Vice President of Global Marketing and Cofounder

Since Hostway's inception, John Lee's efforts have focused on business development, marketing strategy and execution and corporate growth management. In 2000, he established Hostway's first international office in South Korea, setting the stage for Hostway's subsequent global expansion that includes corporate operations in 11 countries. From Lee’s strategy and vision, Hostway has developed a private label program for service providers to offer online services to their own customer base. Lee has been integral in forming partnerships with companies such as Cablevision and Cable One. Acting on customer demand for secure, quick-response, intuitive products, Lee has worked closely with Hostway's development team to introduce its suite of hosting and related services aimed not only at attracting new customers, but retaining existing accounts.

Prior to Hostway, Lee worked in gene therapy research at University of Chicago. Lee earned his bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of Chicago in 1993.

Art Matteotti / Vice President of Global Sales

Initially hired to start up and lead the marketing of private label Web services, Art Matteotti has quickly developed this area into one of Hostway’s fastest growing and most significant businesses.

A veteran of the service provider industry, Matteotti joined Hostway from EDS Corporation, where he was responsible for sales management and new business development. Prior to joining EDS, Matteotti spent 20 years with AT&T in a series of leadership and direct sales positions, including serving as AT&T's sales center vice president for growth markets in greater Chicago and leading the sales team on AT&T's largest commercial account.

Matteotti has a bachelor's degree in marketing from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio and has completed the Advanced Management program at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Don Eldert / Chief Financial Officer

With global responsibility for finance, accounting, business development and strategic planning, Eldert led a series of initiatives that successfully repositioned the business for sustainable market growth.

Before joining Bayer, Eldert worked for NiSource, a $6 billion diversified and integrated energy distribution and service company, where he held a number of senior executive finance and general management roles including corporate vice president of enterprise risk management.
